Refund Policy
Ledgerit plans are prepaid annual subscriptions, so this page sets out plainly when a payment is refundable and when it is not. It is the “refund policy” referred to in clause 5 of our Terms of Use, and it applies to every plan bought through our pricing page.
1. Try the free plan before you pay
Every Ledgerit account starts with 100 free pages — enough to run your own bank statements through the converter and judge the output on the formats you actually work with. Extraction quality varies with statement layout and scan quality, so please use those free pages to check Ledgerit suits your practice. Once you have satisfied yourself on the free plan, a later refund request on the grounds of output quality alone is unlikely to succeed.
2. When we will refund you
- Duplicate or double payment. If the same plan was charged twice, or you were charged more than once for a single order, we refund the extra payment in full.
- Money debited but no plan activated. If a payment left your account and your Ledgerit plan was not activated, and we cannot activate it for you, we refund the payment in full.
- Wrong plan charged. If you were charged for a plan other than the one you selected, we either move you to the correct plan and refund the difference, or refund in full.
- Sustained failure on our side. If Ledgerit is unavailable or unable to process statements for an extended period because of a fault on our side, and we cannot resolve it within a reasonable time of you reporting it, we refund the unused portion of your subscription on a pro-rata basis.
3. When we will not refund you
Stating these clearly so there is no expectation we cannot meet:
- Unused pages at the end of the term. Page allowances belong to the subscription year and are not refundable, transferable, or carried forward when the term ends.
- Extraction accuracy. Ledgerit is an automated productivity tool and its output requires your review before you rely on it, as set out in clause 4 of the Terms of Use. A statement that converts imperfectly is a support matter — send it to us and we will work on the format — not grounds for refunding a subscription already in use.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for breach. If we close an account for a breach of the Terms of Use, the remaining subscription is forfeited.
- Account deletion. Asking us to delete your account part-way through a term does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the remaining period.
Nothing here limits a refund you are entitled to under Indian consumer law. Where the law requires a refund, the law governs and this section does not apply.
4. How to request a refund
Raise the request within 7 days of the payment.
Use the Contact Us form with the subject “Refund request”, or email support@ledgerit.in.
Include the payment details so we can find the transaction.
The mobile number registered on your Ledgerit account, the Razorpay payment or order ID from your receipt, the date and amount, and a short note on why you are asking.
We review and reply within 5 business days.
We will tell you whether the request is approved and, if it is not, the reason under this policy.
5. How approved refunds are paid
- Refunds are made through Razorpay, back to the original payment method — the same card, UPI ID, or bank account used for the purchase. We cannot pay a refund to a different account.
- We initiate an approved refund within 5 business days of approving it. It then typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to reach you, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Refunds include the GST charged on the refunded amount.
- When a full refund is issued the paid plan is deactivated and the account reverts to the free plan.
6. Cancellation
Subscriptions are one-time annual purchases, not auto-renewing mandates — nothing is charged again unless you buy another year yourself. You can therefore stop using Ledgerit at any time without any further payment. Cancelling part-way through a term does not, on its own, produce a refund of the remaining period; see section 3 above.
7. Enterprise and custom plans
Enterprise and custom-priced plans are governed by the refund and cancellation terms of the agreement signed with us. Where those terms differ from this page, the signed agreement applies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force when you made a payment is the one that applies to that payment. Material changes are reflected in the effective date above.
