Terms of Use

1. The service

Ledgerit reads bank statement PDFs, uses our own machine-learning models to identify and extract transaction data, and produces a clean, Tally-importable export. It’s built to save the manual data-entry work of getting a bank statement into your books — not to replace professional accounting judgment.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be authorized to upload and process any bank statement you submit to Ledgerit — whether it’s your own, your client’s (as their accountant or authorized representative), or your organization’s.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ledgerit to:

• Upload a bank statement or financial document you are not authorized to process;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate the underlying parsing models;
• Probe, scan, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

4. Accuracy of converted data

Ledgerit’s statement-to-Tally conversion is an automated productivity tool, not a substitute for professional review. Extraction accuracy can be affected by statement layout, scan quality, or bank formatting changes. You are responsible for reviewing converted data before relying on it for bookkeeping, tax filing, audit, or other compliance purposes.

5. Subscription & billing

Paid plans are billed as described on our pricing page at the time of purchase, plus applicable GST. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or separately stated in our refund policy. We may suspend an account for non-payment after reasonable notice.

6. Data & privacy

Our collection and use of your data — including how long uploaded statements are retained — is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You retain ownership of the bank statements and ledger data you upload; we process it solely to provide the service to you.

7. Intellectual property

Ledgerit’s platform, models, and software remain the property of Flint De Orient Marketing & Technology Pvt. Ltd. You retain ownership of the financial data and documents you submit.

8. Termination

You may stop using Ledgerit and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach of these Terms — including a violation of the acceptable-use provisions above — after reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Ledgerit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law, including as to the accuracy or completeness of any converted data (see Section 4). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flint De Orient Marketing & Technology Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including errors in bookkeeping or filings — arising from reliance on converted data without independent review.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kolkata, India.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of Ledgerit after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
