Privacy Policy
Ledgerit (“Ledgerit”, “we”, “us”) is provided by Flint De Orient Marketing & Technology Pvt. Ltd. Ledgerit reads bank statement PDFs and converts them into Tally-ready ledger data. Because that means handling real financial documents, this policy is specific about what we collect, how long we keep it, and who else ever sees it.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, mobile number, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
- Bank statement PDFs you upload — the original file, plus the transaction data our models extract from it (dates, descriptions, amounts, running balances) and the Tally-ready export we generate from it.
- Billing information — your subscription plan and payment history. Card and bank details themselves are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Razorpay — Ledgerit never receives or stores your card number or bank account details.
- Usage & log data — standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps).
2. How we use this information
- To parse an uploaded bank statement and convert it into clean, Tally-importable ledger data.
- To verify your identity at sign-in and sign-up via a one-time passcode (OTP), sent by SMS and/or WhatsApp.
- To process your subscription payment and maintain your billing history.
- To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the platform.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your bank statements or ledger data to serve advertising.
3. How your statements are processed
Statement parsing is done by machine-learning models we built and trained ourselves, running on our own servers. Your uploaded PDF and its extracted data are not sent to a third-party AI provider (such as OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic) to be parsed — the entire extraction pipeline runs on infrastructure we control.
4. Data retention
- Original uploaded PDF — retained for 24 hours after processing, then permanently deleted from our servers.
- Extracted transaction data and Tally exports — retained as part of your account for as long as your account is active, so you can revisit past conversions.
- Payment records — retained as required for tax and accounting compliance.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 10) — some records may be retained afterward where we’re legally required to keep them.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and time-limited retention of original uploaded documents — to protect the data you entrust to us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or export of your ledger data, by contacting us at the address below.
8. Children’s privacy
Ledgerit is a business tool intended for use by working-age adults (accountants, business owners, and finance teams) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of Ledgerit after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
